My love of the body in movement, my deep spiritual faith, and my desire to share the joy and benefits of Yoga have brought me to this place in my life. I taught fitness and dance for many years, and when I embraced Yoga several years ago, I found such joy and peace in my body and mind that I decided to expand my knowledge and growth in this discipline. I am a certified Phoenix Rising Yoga Therapy practitioner, certified MS/Adaptive yoga practitioner,a registered Yoga teacher with the Yoga Alliance, a member of KYTA,and a certified ACE Personal Trainer. The training I have received has strongly enhanced my commitment as a teacher to share the many benefits of Yoga as well as continue my personal and professional growth. I am truly grateful for the many wonderful Yoga students who have touched my life and enhanced my journey through it.

I have been involved in music, movement and dance since I was a child. For 28 years, I was a student, local instructor and owner of Take A Bow Dance Studio.I am also a licensed Kindermusik Educator for the Piano Lab and have been a NYS licensed Cosmetologist for 18+ years. I have been studying Yoga for over 5 years and have grown to love the way it has enhanced & changed my life. Yoga and its many philosophies, beliefs and benefits have carried over into every aspect of my life... enriching my life emotionally, spiritually and physically. Yoga is truly a gift in which I am very grateful to have found and also very happy to share with everyone I meet. My most recent accomplishment is becoming a licensed parent educator for The Happiest Baby Program, developed by world renowned pediatrician, child development specialist and baby calmer, Dr.Harvey Karp.I am the first person in central NY to be licensed to teach this extraordinary program to parents and their babies.I look forward to teaching these classes here at the center as well.

I have been a dedicated student here at the yoga center for five years. Last year, I completed my Pilates Mat training certification and my yoga certification. Philosopher Marcus Aurelius once said,"When you arise in the morning, think of what a precious privilege it is to be alive, to breathe, to think, to enjoy and to love...." For me, that is what five years of yoga has come to symbolize in my life. On and off the yoga mat, I have begun a journey that has helped me grow in mind, body and spirit. I look forward to sharing the Pilates and yoga philosophy.I truly am honored and grateful to have begun my lifetime journey of yoga at Universal Yoga Center.
I have been practicing yoga for about 4 years now and my passion grows deeper each day.A dear friend, who took me to my first class instructed by our very own Pamela Howe, introduced me to yoga. I never felt so comfortable with myself after that class. It was like I found myself, finally. For me, yoga has taught me a way to concentrate on me, even if it was just an hour out of the day.Dedicating time to become one with your breath, how your body flows with each asana, is amazing. I found myself taking small bits of time out of my day to stop and just breathe. I am a full time employee of 8 years at the Utica National Insurance Group and teach yoga there as well.To have the opportunity to share the benefits of yoga to others is a great honor and I look forward to teaching at the Universal Yoga Center.
